Complex behavior isn't the problem. It's the key.

Behind every outburst, refusal, or disruption is a child struggling to express what they need.

Book a consultation to help your educators and service providers unlock what’s really going on with each child — and turn your team’s uncertainty and discouragement into compassionate, productive action.

How A Behavioral Consultation Works:

“I was at my wits end with a child's behavior and didn't know where to turn. After working with Ariella, I now have the tools and understanding to navigate the challenges. The child's behavior has improved dramatically. Ariella's approach is practical, effective and always tailored to the individual’s needs.”

Empowering

I don’t just provide answers.

Do you consult on a per-child basis, or do you offer consultations for a set period of time?

You book me for a set period of time. During that time, we address as much as we can.

Absolutely.

Do you offer follow-up sessions?

Once we've addressed a specific behavior, follow-up sessions are typically not needed for that same issue. However, they are an option if your team wants to fine-tune strategies or discuss other less-urgent concerns.

Absolutely.

Which positions or roles within our institution, agency, or organization could benefit from your consultations?

As a decision-maker in an institution, agency, or organization, you can hire me to work with:

  • Educators: Teachers, special education staff, tutors

  • Professionals: Social workers, BCBAs, OTs, PTs, SLTs, play therapists ect.

  • Child and community advocates: Spiritual leaders, mentors, camp directors, counselors

Absolutely.

What do we need to prepare for the consultation?

There’s no pressure to prepare, but if you’d like you can gather detailed information about the child's behavior, the strategies you’ve tried, and any other relevant background information. It’s also helpful to have one or two stories that demonstrate the challenges you’re dealing with.

Absolutely.

Absolutely.

Absolutely.

Will a crisis consultation help prevent future crises?

Absolutely. While the focus of the consultation is on handling the immediate situation, I’ll also guide your team in creating a plan to reduce the chances of it happening again.

Absolutely.

How soon can we expect to see results after meeting with you?

You can typically expect to experience a shift in perspective during the meeting, accompanied by a sense of relief as you gain an understanding of the true issue at hand and the steps you’ll need to take to address it. Once you consistently apply the strategies we develop together, you should start noticing changes in the child’s behavior – sometimes gradually, sometimes immediately, depending on the circumstances.

Absolutely.

How do I know if we need a crisis consultation instead of a standard one?

If your team is dealing with an ongoing behavioral challenge — something persistent but not immediately dangerous — a behavioral consultation is the best fit.

If the situation requires urgent intervention — such as severe aggression, self-harm, or other unsafe behaviors — a crisis consultation provides immediate guidance to help stabilize the situation.

Not sure which you need? Reach out, and I’ll help you figure it out.
